The de-issue job transaction removes materials from WIP and returns them to regular inventory.

Job De-Issuing form

Field/Button

Description

Job Number

Scan or type. Omit dashes if typing.

Type

Select the type of inventory to de-issue. Options are: Job, Master Lot, Staging, or Staging-Job. When this field is set to 'Staging' , de-issued lots are moved from a type of "Staging" back to a type of "Inventory."

Part Number

Identifies the parts that will be de-issued. Once the job number is entered the system will present the first item that has a quantity in WIP to be de-issued. Drop down list available to de-issue a different item.

Description

Item description. Populates when an item is selected.

Unit

Item stock unit of measure. Populates when an item is selected.

User Lot

Displays the first lot to be de-issued. Users can scan lot label to confirm the correct selection and proceed to the next lot.

System Lot

Displays the first lot to be de-issued. Users can scan lot label to confirm the correct selection and proceed to the next lot.

Master Lot

If item/lot was issued to a master lot, the master lot number will be displayed.

This field is enabled (beginning in version 17.04.006). This allows inventory to be de-issued and for Master Lot numbers to be manually entered or scanned with a 3of9 barcode without requiring a label lot with a master lot and AI Identifier.

Lot Quantity

Displays the total on hand quantity across all lots with the quantity that was issued indicated in brackets.

De-issuing

Actual quantity that will be de-issued. Users can adjust as needed. Once the correct quantity has been entered, users can click the "Enter" key to commit changes and proceed to the next item/line that will be de-issued. Once all item quantities to be de-issued have been entered, the system will display a message indicating that all items are set to de-issue and if you want to proceed. If users select yes the "De-issue Parameters" form will be displayed. The form is detailed in the section below. 

  • Notes:
    • When de-issuing from production jobs that have master lots issued to them, users may select the specific quantity to de-issue.
    • A prompt will be presented if users attempt to enter (then confirm) a quantity greater than the quantity available in the selected lot.

Location Type

Scan appropriate location type. Drop down list also available with all active location types for selected facility. Location Types are maintained at Inventory > Maintenance > Location Types within the main Deacom application.

Serial Number

Displays the serial number, if applicable, for the selected lot.

Attributes 1-3

Displays the attributes of the selected lot.

Catchweight

Displays the catchweight of the selected lot.

Lots

If clicked, displays the lots screen which displays a list of the lots that have been issued to the job for the selected part. Once a user has selected the appropriate lot, they may click the "Choose" button to finish the selection. 

  • Notes:
    • Users have the option to display additional details for the selected lot such as the expiration date, serial #, catchweight and attributes.
    • Users may scan the specific lot number if a barcode of the lot is available without clicking the lots button.

Print Labels

If checked, a label will be printed containing the parts and quantities that were de-issued.

All

Option to de-issue everything from a job at once. If selected, any currently selected items/lots will be cleared out and the system and populate the list with all of the items issued to the job.

Save

Completes the de-issuing process, provides confirmation message that all lots scanned or selected previously have been de-issued and exits the issue job transaction. If any lots have been skipped, repeat the process when ready to de-issue them.

Undo

Removes immediately previous lot from de-issue list.

Exit

Cancels the de-issuing process and exits to the main WMS menu. Lots scanned previously will not be de-issued.

De-issue Parameters Form

The De-issue Parameters form is displayed once all lots have been set to de-issue and the user has confirmed they want to continue with the de-issue process.

Description

Retain Current Location

If checked indicates to the system that lot will not be physically moved, just de-issued.

New Location Type

Option to select a new location type where the inventory will be moved at the conclusion of the de-issuing process.

New Location

Option to select a new location where the inventory will be moved at the conclusion of the de-issuing process. If the user does not enter a new location and new location type, they will be prompted to confirm they do not wish to specify these values when attempting to save the transaction.

Save

Completes the de-issue process. The system will present a confirmation message indicating that the items have been successfully de-issued from the selected job number.

Exit

Returns to the job de-issuing form.

Notes:

  • If all of the lots have not been de-issued the system will display a warning message after the "Save" button has been selected asking if you wish to continue.
  • The security setting "WMS -- allow de-issue without physical scan" is available. If checked, users will be allowed to de-issue a lot without scanning a label. This security option, together with the "WMS -- allow de-issue" setting offers users greater flexibility when de-issuing from the scanner.
